Georgia Patterson spent her childhood on a mixed-cattle and timber operation in Southeast Queensland, which sparked her love for the beef industry. In 2021, she completed a Bachelor of Applied Business Management at the University of Canberra, while working in roles at Beef Australia as Sponsorship Assistant and the Next Generation Committee Coordinator. It was during her time here that she met Shannon Speight and Emma Black of Black Box Co. 

Given her background and on-farm knowledge of beef production, Georgia was inspired by Shannon and Emma’s commitment to the industry, and was excited to learn more about Black Box Co. In July 2021, eager for the opportunity to play a part in a meaningful solution for beef businesses, Georgia joined the Black Box team as a Client Manager. 

A day in Georgia’s life at Black Box has her working with clients to help maximise the use of their data and collaborating with feedlots and processors. Georgia particularly enjoys that her role offers variety, and each day brings a new challenge or opportunity. With most of her clients based throughout Queensland, she loves working with producers operating across varied environments and servicing different markets. Georgia has believed in Black Box since the beginning, and says that the product is fast becoming an integral part of beef operations across the supply chain.
